Andy and Josh somehow survived another day on the coast to coast walk and today’s route took them from Lordstones to Blakey Ridge… otherwise known as “the world’s wettest wind tunnel.” Honestly at this point they’re less “walkers” and more two damp hobbits roaming the moors looking for a radiator.

The weather has been absolutely horrific yet again. Heavy rain, ridiculous winds, soaked through from head to toe and apparently the Yorkshire Moors have personally declared war on them. Every morning they wake up, unzip the tent and get slapped in the face by another storm. They’ve had ONE sunny day so far. One. A single day where they briefly remembered what vitamin D feels like before being immediately humbled again.

Tonight they’re sleeping on the highest point of the moors in conditions that can only be described as “character building.” At this rate Andy’s romantic bedtime singing to Josh is probably being drowned out by 60mph winds and the sound of waterproofs rustling.

Despite all this, they’re still cracking on every single day for an incredible cause — raising money for EyUp! Charity and supporting men’s mental health.
