Day 9 of Andy and Josh’s Coast to Coast adventure marked another big step forward — over halfway there! Today’s stretch took them from Reeth to Brompton-on-Swale, covering another 13 miles of the route. It was another hilly day, with plenty of climbs to test their legs and stamina, but the rolling Yorkshire landscape made for spectacular views that almost made the sweat and sore muscles worth it.

Tonight, camp is set up beside the River Swale, providing a peaceful spot to rest, reflect, and recharge for tomorrow. Sitting by the gentle flow of the river, the lads have a moment to appreciate just how far they’ve come — and how much is still ahead. Only six more days to go until they reach the finish line at Robin Hood’s Bay, where they’ll finally be able to celebrate with a well-earned pint in one hand and a classic fish and chips in the other. The finish line may be a week away, but the excitement is already building.

This journey isn’t just about ticking off miles or conquering hills. Andy and Josh are walking the Coast to Coast to raise awareness for men’s mental health, shining a light on an issue that’s often overlooked. Each step they take is helping to start conversations, encourage openness, and support the cause in their own way. The response from back home has been incredible, with friends and family expressing just how proud they are of the lads’ determination, endurance, and commitment. It’s a journey that’s testing them physically, mentally, and emotionally — and they’re rising to every challenge.

With half the journey behind them and six more days of walking ahead, the lads continue to prove just what determination, friendship, and a good sense of humour can achieve. The road to Robin Hood’s Bay may be long, but it’s also full of memories, challenges, and moments that make every step worthwhile.
